Who we are
CGIL is the largest trade union in Italy. In Calabria we have offices in every province.
We help people who work: Italian or foreign, with or without a contract. You can come to us even if you are not a member.
If you have a problem at work
You are not paid. You work without a contract. You were fired. You are threatened or treated badly.
Come to one of our offices (the list is below) or call. Bring the documents you have: contract, payslips, messages. The conversation is confidential. You do not need a residence permit to ask for help.
How to join
You join in person at an office. Bring an identity document and, if you have it, your Italian tax code (codice fiscale). The membership card is valid all over Italy.

Do I have to pay to talk to you?
No. The first meeting is free. Membership has a small yearly fee: we explain it to you at the office.
Do I need a residence permit?
No. We help everyone who works, with or without documents.
Can I bring someone who translates?
Yes. A friend, a relative or a cultural mediator can come with you.
